WHAT TO EXPECT

 

In this rapidly evolving world, JLR is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. JLR are seeking an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to lead the charge within their ADAS (Advanced Driver Assisted Systems) Team. You will have experience in automated testing and ideally within the automotive sector. Most importantly, you will be integral to helping us build better products that our engineering teams love to use.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for validation of feature software for new JLR ADAS ECUs, this code can range from vehicle level across multiple ECU’s to single ECU level and Software Components.
  • Responsible for the tailoring of SW test frameworks to enable the verification and validation of the ADAS Software.
  • Technical lead for defining the V&V processes in the Software Development Lifecycle, V Model/Aspice, AGILE. 
  • Experience in a range of validation and automated testing frameworks as well as being responsible for creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test automation to identify automation opportunities and compile test reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO26262 with further experience in, or understanding of automotive diagnostics and software download protocols with exposure to GitLab, Jenkins, Jira and other Agile tools.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Experience in programming with Python or CAPL and software development testing utilizing industry standard design patterns.
  • Proficient in the analysis and implementation of customer requirements, product backlog and product vision.
  • Demonstrated experience with test automation (test case management, script management, best practices).
  • Strong experience with HIL test environments (obsolescence management, operations, maintenance) and demonstrated experience with test techniques (Keyword driven, Behaviour driven, Gherkin).
  • Continuous integration and deployment with exposure to source code management tools such as Git and CI/CD.
