Sales Director - Distribution & Commercial Vehicle

Your Role

Position to support the growing sales with customers in the areas of Commercial Vehicles and Aftermarket / Distribution. Responsible for all existing client relationships and sales within these segments and, as a dedicated hunter, to drive new sales initiatives to win new business and customers. Managing a team of regional sales and engineering across the US. This role reports to our Distribution and CV Sales Director.  In interim of Sales Director being hired, this role will report to Americas Sales Director and is functionally reporting to Global Distribution VP Sales.

Key job responsibilities for this role include:

  • Responsible to set and deliver a sales account strategy for the channel that focus on profitable growth above market in line with CS's strategy
  • Guarantee a consistent product portfolio and technology road map for the channel that is in line with customers and market needs
  • Lead and orchestrate all regional negotiations (commercial, contract, pricing etc)
  • Responsible for regional bookings, revenue and profitability targets
  • Serve as escalation for regional customer relations at channel level
  • Lead & develop a team of account manager and application engineers
  • Responsible for setting regional pricing for the channel
  • Responsible for regional revenue / budget planning for the channel and definition of counter-actions if deviation from budget takes place
  • Manage and control accounts receivable for the channel

Deliverables:

  • Deliver a sales account strategy for the channel
  • Deliver a plan to achieve increased market share per customer, and channel
  • Deliver bookings, revenue and profitability targets by customer, and channel
  • Deliver an annual revenue / budget planning for the channel
  • Deliver long term opportunity pipeline plan including required technology road map, partnering with product strategy leadership
  • Consolidate market and customer intelligence and share it with respective stakeholders (PLM, ENG)

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Sales Leadership role
  • Minimum of 3 years of specific experience in the channel
  • Experience in large global matrix organization with multi-stakeholder environment
  • Extremely strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Sales driven hunter mentality
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or business related
  • Experience in a multi-country / multi-cultural environment. Strong diplomacy skills.
  • Able to lead and influence different layers in the organization, including Executive Leadership Team

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 8+ years of experience in a Sales Leadership role
  • 8+ years of specific experience in the channel
  • MBA, Master’s degree or similar
  • Technical understanding of automotive commodities
  • Understanding of the commercial vehicle side of the business
