WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Come and join JLR’s Powertrain Road Load Data Analysis (RLD) team which is part of the wider Engineering Propulsion group and is responsible for the coordination and delivery of duty cycle definition via Road Load Data (RLD) collection, analysis and durability target setting.

 

As our Road Load Data Analysis Lead Engineer, you will support data acquisition at various U.K test sites and will be responsible for the delivery of duty definition data to internal customers, ensuring the effective development of the next phase of JLR’s modern luxury vehicles.

 

You will have the chance to flourish within our RLD environment and have exposure to a full range of JLR vehicles operating within a fast-paced dynamic environment.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities



•    Develop, manage and lead RLD plans ensuring timely programme delivery

•    Prior to test vehicle availability, generate derived data sets from existing library data or other sources

•    Data manipulation and analysis using HBM nCode (Glyphworks) and other tools

•    Develop and agree service mixes with D&R (Durability & Reliability Department)

•    Verifying test vehicle suitability and function using diagnostic tools

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED



•    Experience with vehicle diagnostics tools such a Vehicle Spy, INCA, CANape is preferred but not essential

•    An understanding of physical measurement processes & analysis (ideally with tools such as HBM Glyphworks, Matlab/Simulink or similar)

•    Experience of presenting technical reports and issues across all levels

•    Previous experience within transmission, driveline and an understanding of powertrain systems

•    Experience of coordinating multiple test plans and project in accordance with schedule
