Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Retrofit Solution Technical Referent (f/m) to join our Airbus Retrofit Solutions team within the Customer Services department based in Toulouse, France.

You will have the competence to develop and treat the whole technical aspects across the scope of his/her subjects, thereby covering the structural, mechanical and electrical aspects, either for system subjects or for contribution to other Technical Domains related subjects.

For some projects, he/she has to coordinate teams located outside or inside the Technical Domain department (subcontractors and/or other Airbus departments).

Your challenges:

  • Manage Technical Delegation

    • Propose strategic Technical delegation plan to secure volume of Engineering activities

    • Manage Technical delegation for Avionics internal & external steakolders

  • Secure SB/VSB engineering phase for SB/VSB including:

    • Ensure fulfil all safety and certification requirements

  • Support Upgrade technical portfolio development

  • Support Technical Directorate & Technical Office on method, process & tools development

  • Support the make or buy activity in accordance with the complexity analysis

  • Supports Avionics Systems managers & Solution Engineers and sub-contractors teams in their projects and ensures Specific Design Specialists continuous skills improvement

  • Support coordination of Engineering & Preparation phases:

  • Support the Avionics Technical Domain teams regarding the specific design integration tasks during the Technical Offer phase and Kick off meetings

  • Support or performs weighting (Engineering, preparation & authoring workload and complexity)

  • Answer Retrofit Solution Engineers on engineering issues and escalate to Engineering Responsible when needed

  • Support resource and project planning analysis to ensure delivery dates and lead times are properly predicted and achieved

  • Support the validation of the Request for Adaptation (RA)

  • Participate to Technical Repercussion Sheet (TRS) reviews

  • According to delegations, validates Specific Design Work activities (drawings, preparations…)

  • Ensure on quality deliverables

    • Support non quality analysis & contribute to improvement plan

    • Initiate corrective actions on Service Bulletins where needed

  • Ensure on time on quality of all Customer queries

    • Front desk Technical Management

    • Support and participate to Working Parties

    • Support and answer Customers Queries, Defect reports (including during stand-by)

    • Take appropriate action in response to Airline questions/suggestions regarding issued Service Bulletins

    • Support RDAF elaboration

    • Provide Stand-By service during days-off

 

Your boarding pass:

  • Educated to a Master Degree in engineering

  • More than 10 years of experience in the aviation industry

  • Experience with Airlines is a plus

  • Solid engineering background with a proven record of delivering for customers - elec focus is a plus

  • Strong technical expertise

  • Ability to work in a transverse environment with a diverse range of people as part of a project team.
    Airbus engineering delegation will be plus 

  • Experience in training teams will be a plus

  • Ability to interact with Customers (internal or external) to capture needs
    Capacity to analyze and synthesize,

  • Pragmatic

  • Open minded

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
