Our prestigious manufacturing firm is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Quality Engineer to join our diverse team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a solid background in plant quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of our products and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Quality Engineer, you will:
1. Develop and implement quality control methodologies to enhance the consistency of our manufacturing processes.
2. Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
4. Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
5. Create, maintain and monitor quality performance metrics, preparing detailed reports for the management team.
6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
7. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components.
8. Conduct training sessions on quality control activities to enhance the knowledge and skills of the team.
9. Participate in new product development projects to ensure quality standards are met.
10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices in quality engineering.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification in Quality Engineering will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
4. Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control software.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
7. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
8. Proven experience in managing quality control in plant operations.
9. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
10. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
11. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to achieving high standards of quality.
