Your Role:

  • Cable quotation calculation for the Cable business in Europe:

    • Cost models for all cable types

    • MvB for all cable types

    • Close alignment with cable manufacturing operations to understand and apply cable manufacturing costs

    • Close alignment with SCM to understand and apply cable material costs

    • Continuous work on cable cost improvement

  • Input to optimization Cable Value Streams

    • Developing Synergies Between Products

    • Definition of opportunities for inhouse production

    • Regular Cable Budget screening to define products for MvB study

  • Identify, evaluate and implement new business opportunities and new cable  developments

  • Strong focus on business case analysis

  • Provide cable price estimates for new products ( for MvB studies)

  • Identify business problems and provide recommendations for improvements

  • Participate in strategy definition for in-house cable production

  • Implementation of innovation in cable business calculations

  • Systematic networking and coordination across the entire value chain

  • Program Management Execution support

    • Establishing strong external/internal supplier/customer relationships and responsiveness

    • Respect Aptiv guidelines and rules as well as legal regulations and laws

    • Contribute to MCIP targets

  • Aligning the internal roadmaps with engineering, SCM and with the trends emerging in the automotive industry as well as the concrete ideas of our customers

  • Report progress in cable business quotations to CBU organization

  • Ensure compliance to EOS and maintenance and support continuous improvement activities

  • Support and Comply with all internal /external audit controls 

  • Contribute to successful execution of opportunities through program management, customer management, w/h engineering, operations, PC&L and Sales

  • Calculate CBU production capabilities

  • Contribute within the budget and cost targets to assure PBU cost model

  • Identify, evaluate and implement new business opportunities and new cable  developments

  • Reporting on regional progress in Cable Business to EDS Management

Your Background:

  • MSc. Chemical, Electrical, Electronical, Material Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical, or similar technical.

  • Experience in automotive industry,

  • Very good command of spoken and written English,

  • Business & analytical skills e.g.:

  • Very good excel and cost calculation capabilities, communication & cooperation skills,

  • presentation skills, products & processes engineering background/knowledge.

  • Leading experience in products, processes, manufacturing and testing.

  • Identification of new technologies, materials and processes and communication of these into the company

  • Project management, Material calculations, engineering cost/profit  estimation, products and process engineering background and knowledge, production and testing equipment knowledge, investment process knowledge.
