Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Process Engineering Technician at the Electronics Center of Excellence in Huntsville, Alabama. The Center of Excellence is a circuit card manufacturing environment producing assemblies for the defense and space industry.  We are experiencing an acceleration of production activities and are looking for an individual that is a problem solver and is eager to learn. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution on the full array of SMT manufacturing and inspection equipment
  • Support design reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
  • Support database management and data capture in the manufacturing process
  • Partner with the Operations teammates to provide coaching and training
  • Support cross functional teams in implementation of capital improvement projects
  • Participate in new business development efforts
  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs
  • Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
  • Work under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This worksite participates in Boeing’s 4/10 schedule. 4/10 is a schedule in which employees work 10  hour shifts, Monday through Thursday 6 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., with every  Friday off.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in manufacturing,

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Attention to Detail
  • Experience in J-Std solder inspection
  • Experience building high reliability electronic products with Surface Mount Technology
  • 3+ years of experience in a laboratory environment and/or electronic test and troubleshooting
  • 3+ years of experience designing test setups, writing test procedures, writing software for control and data acquisition systems, and conducting tests

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $55,250 – $74,750
