Your Role:

As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Excellence Center of Aptiv and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality related to the processes while complying with the internal procedures of Aptiv.

  • Leading all development activities per PDP/ADP with limited supervision

  • Maintaining engineering documentation

  • Coordinating prototyping from source to build with supervision

  • Analyzing build results, draws conclusion, implements changes

  • Giving input about quality of components

  • Providing input to DFMEA

  • Performing tasks required to assemble ME quote input with supervision

  • Reviewing/correcting test reports. Drawing conclusions, proposing changes

  • Fulfilling and leading machine tests, benchmarking

  • Defining new test requirements and procedures

  • Leading simple problem solving activities

  • Being familiar with BOD, BOP & lessons learned

  • Utilizing all analytical tools.

  • Working in compliance with Aptiv & Customer Specific Requirements

  • Participation in development of technical specification for new devices and software

  • Conducting training for workers, who are located in manufacturing plants

  • Collaboration with suppliers

  • Staying abreast with market conditions & trends.

Your Background:

  • B.S or M.S in technical field Mechanics, Industrial background

  • 1 to 3 years experience in a similar position

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to plan and prioritize own task

  • Ability to read technical drawings & documentation

  • Ability to create basics drawings & sketeches in CAD software (NX, Solid Edge)

  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design

  • Analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to travel accross EMEA up to 30%
