We’re currently looking for a Planner, Connected Car Services to join our team in Franklin, TN.

Job Summary: Provides comprehensive program management support for assigned initiatives, aimed at maximizing NNA’s Profit and Presence through all levers (revenue, cost, quality, etc.). This role involves analyzing and presenting supporting data, tracking program performance, and ensuring PDCA governance for holistic program management. The Program Manager will manage cross-functional teams and complex projects, ensuring effective communication and execution of strategic goals. This role also incorporates elements typical of a tech program manager, focusing on agile methodologies, technical project management, and innovation.

Contributes to global COP (Consolidated Operating Profit) objectives, building brand value, and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Lead and manage cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives, utilizing comprehensive knowledge and emerging industry trends to drive project success and alignment with organizational goals. Develop and manage business cases, including NPV calculations, for new and ongoing projects. Present supporting data, conduct analysis, and provide recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Coordinate and manage complex negotiations with external partners and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization. Oversee contract management, including the development and implementation of SLAs and penalties. Conduct comprehensive project planning, including the development of project schedules, coordination of event kickoffs, and management of project milestones through appropriate governance processes. Monitor and analyze program performance on an ongoing basis. Provide data and information to support discussions and negotiations with product planning and vehicle engineering functions, and propose life cycle plans to department management. Lead the capture and analysis of usage analytics for various connected services to identify opportunities for cost reduction and feature optimization. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization by leading ideation seminars, generating and prioritizing ideas, and presenting them to senior leadership for approval and development. Conduct market-oriented and cost data analysis to identify opportunities for program profitability improvement. Propose and implement improvement ideas based on the analysis. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with marketing operations, finance, and other relevant departments to manage customer communication and ensure customer satisfaction. Implement and utilize agile methodologies and tools for project management to enhance flexibility, speed, and collaboration within project teams. Manage technical aspects of projects, coordinating with software development teams, understanding technical requirements, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes and organizational efficiency. Perform other related duties as necessary to support the success of the organization.

  • Analytic Aptitude: Expertise in data analysis techniques to transform complex data into actionable insights. Strong understanding of program financials, vehicle part cost, feature content, market complexities, and program milestone requirements.
  • Negotiation/Influence: Proven ability to negotiate skillfully in challenging situations and secure favorable outcomes without damaging relationships.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of program objectives and alignment with the company’s overall strategy and vision, while fostering creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional oral and written communication skills that build credibility among key stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with technical project management, including working with software development teams, understanding technical requirements, and managing technology-driven projects.
  • Agile Methodologies: Proficient in agile project management methodologies and tools to enhance team collaboration and project efficiency.

2. Years of Experience:

Experience: 4-7+ years of related experience at a professional level; program management or related discipline is desired. Experience with financial reporting, contract negotiations, and technical project management is highly preferred.

3. Education

Education: Advanced degree in a related discipline. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars, and in-house classroom training.

4. Specific Course/Certifications

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with project management software and tools like Monday.com, Microsoft Projects is highly desirable.
