The selected candidate will manage and guide successful execution of microelectronics research and development programs, to include maintaining program budget and schedule; managing risks, issues, and opportunities; and ensuring adherence to sound engineering processes. This position can be based out of Tukwila, WA; Huntington Beach, CA; Fairfax, VA; or Annapolis Junction, MD.

Within BR&T, Boeing’s Solid-State Electronics Development organization (SSED) performs microelectronics technology development and design for aerospace systems.  We develop digital, analog, and RF Systems on Chip (SoCs) for radar, navigation, electronic warfare, communications, processing, and other electronic systems. These systems are used on Boeing airborne, terrestrial, and satellite platforms. SSED has numerous microelectronics projects, funded both by internal Boeing customers and external Government Science and Technology (S&T) customers, and is nationally recognized in aerospace microelectronics design communities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Communicating to internal and external customers and stakeholders, disseminating time critical information to team leads and affected parties

  • Managing cross-functional program teams

  • Developing and tracking project budgets and schedules

  • Managing risks and opportunities

  • Identifying and resolving program issues

  • Interfacing with highly accomplished Principal Investigators and Lead Scientists

  • Providing program oversight to suppliers and subcontractors

  • Generating and managing cost estimates

  • Applying Program Management Best Practices in performing position responsibilities

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience with microelectronics or electronics systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience

  • Experience with technology development projects

Typical Education/Experience: 

Mid-Level

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $93,500 - $126,500

Summary pay range for Experienced: $115,600 - $156,400

Summary pay range for Senior: $141,950 - $192,050
