Material & Processes Interface Manager (m/f)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Material & Processes Interface Manager (f/m) to join our team based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team responsible for the Research, the development, the Technical qualification, the support to Manufacturing Plants and to In service Aircrafts for the critical products and processes (Metallic & Composite Rods, Bearings, Plastic and metallic mechanical systems supports) for all Airbus aircraft. This organization is also The Airbus Center of Excellence for Wear & Fretting activities.
 

Materials & Processes, Assembly Technology Engineering has the technical accountability for Research, Development, Qualification and harmonization of Products for Structure. It delivers Materials & Processes inputs into Definition Dossier in terms of Assembly product assessments, replacement strategies, life cycle assessment, and technical expertise.

Processes & Tests organization is an in-house Department
 

The scope of activities also extends to other Airbus divisions and partners in some cases.

Within the Assembly Structural Hardware Systems Team, you will be in charge to define and find the technical solutions for products (Rods, Bearings, Brackets) for our installed products,  to consolidate the conformity of products versus requirements.

Your challenges: 

  • Contributing to the creation and to the development of Structural Hardware Systems In Engineering  

  • Performing the technical support, Research & Technology, Development and Technical qualification,

  • Contributing to Aircraft certification,

  • Supporting Manufacturing Engineering, Plants and Customer Service,

  • Providing Technical Support for Quality issues.  

  • Consolidating conformity of equipment versus requirements

  • Participating in the development of SHS equipment

  • Answering the schedule requirements, budget and quality development

  • Contributing to innovative ideas inputs and to the continuous improvement of service
     

This role will involve some travel for business and as such, you must be able to travel accordingly. You will interface with a lot of stakeholders: Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Programs, Procurement, Quality Supply Chain, Suppliers, ..

Your boarding pass: 

  • Master degree (or equivalent) in Engineering specialized in Materials & Processes, Mechanics and/or Surface Technologies

  • You have an experience in Material characterization

  • An experience in Project management is appreciated

  • You have an innovative mindset and creativity

  • Ability to work with a good team spirit, a good relationship

  • You have a negotiation level in French and English

Salary range:

Salary range based on the required profile: 55 to 65 K€/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication.
