POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is a member of the maintenance team and is responsible for keeping the crimping machines, and other electro-mechanical equipment in repair. Duties include repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and regular maintenance on new and/or existing equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Inspect, operate, or test crimping machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, hand tools, or power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Repair machines, or equipment using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components on machinery and equipment.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, etc.
• Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
• Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Setup and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
• Setup crimp tools after being repaired or maintenance performed.
• Align and balance new equipment after installation.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
• Estimate costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures.
• Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Ability to proficiently use various company-related and external systems and databases.
• Ability to work effectively with internal/external personnel, and vendors.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet time sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage several tasks simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree in an electro-mechanical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of machine maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical/mechanical skills and aptitude.
• Ability to read or interpret blueprints and data.
• Must be able to troubleshoot electronics and associated controls.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
• Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.

Specific vision abilities include close vision. Employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and chemicals.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee typically works in an industrial manufacturing environment. The employee may work near moving mechanical machinery and/or vehicles, and the noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
