Legal Counsel

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
• Provide general legal support for daily business activities, especially in the areas of company law, foreign direct investment, civil code, corporate & subsidiary governance, employment law, real estate and MRO-related regulatory matters;
• Support the business team to negotiate, as well as draft and review business contracts, including but not limited to MRO marketing and sales agreements and goods or service procurement contracts;
• Work with other corporate functions to ensure compliance with regulatory and
administrative rules by respective Airbus entities, including Airbus subsidiaries and JV in Chengdu;
• Maintain accurate and timely corporate filings with relevant government authorities for respective Airbus entities, including subsidies and JV in Chengdu;
• Manage dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration matters;
• Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically and identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate the risks;
• Participate in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures and programs and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal implications of such policies, procedures and programs;
• Support ethics &compliance and export control team for implementation of Airbus compliance policies and processes to ensure business is conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies with ethics and integrity under the guidance of Airbus Ethics & Compliance Program.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or above from a reputable law school and PRC bar qualifications are required, and overseas legal education is preferred;
• Minimum 3 years of solid post-qualification working experience gained in reputable law firms or as an inhouse legal counsel in a multinational firm;
• In-depth knowledge and experience in company law and foreign investment fields are required, and work experience in aviation or manufacturing industry is a plus;
• Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly adapt and to learn continuously;
• English language proficiency in both spoken and written form is a must;
• Flexible and proactive in daily work, self-driven with a strong ability in working
independently and under pressure;
• Team player with good interpersonal communication skills, able to communicate with people from different backgrounds;
• Able to handle frequent domestic travel (on average 1-2 weeks on monthly basis);
• Stay current in an evolving legal and regulatory environment.
