Job Description:

Purpose/Description: 

This position services the Legal Department’s need for various administrative and related legal functions. 

 

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare letters, routine correspondence and other internal documents, as needed 
  • Keep records and matter files for department as directed 
  • Maintain database of various matters (i.e. consultant status, consignment agreements, core exchange general terms agreements (as required) 
  • Assist in the preparation of initial draft contracts and other legal documentation for review/approval of General Counsel 
  • Assist in the coordination of inter-departmental/divisional transaction requirements (i.e. financial, lien searches, insurance certificates, etc.) 
  • Assist in preparing contract summaries for review/approval by the General Counsel 
  • Performs general administrative functions which include handling incoming and outgoing mail, phone coverage, copying, maintaining matter calendars, department teamsite, scanning, etc. 
  • Provides administrative support to the Director and the  Head of Legal, Compliance and Contracts .

Minimum Education and Experience: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent 
  • 2 years experience in related field 
  • Excellent reading comprehension and writing skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills 
  • Excellent organization skills, including multi-tasking, setting priorities and meeting deadlines 

Strong skills in MS Word, knowledge of MS Excel
