Lean expert (f/m)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Lean Expert (f/m) to join our Operations department of Customer Services based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of Customer Services, that is the Airbus organization which interfaces and supports commercial airlines. As part of the Airbus Operating System Expert team within the Operational Excellence department, you will be involved in defining a strategic approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence. The AOS works for efficient cooperation across the company by bringing together operational and support teams around common objectives and working methods.

Your challenges:

Defining and adapting the standards (called AOS bricks) linked to performance management

  • To be a key member in the strategic Transformation,

  • To ensure the comprehensive AOS brick (standards) development including: Stakes & Objectives & Routines, Tasks & RASCI, Behaviors & Leadership, Key Indicators, Implementation guide …

  • To help to structure the deployment architecture/ AOS road map for a dedicated area / Service businesses,

  • To make optimal solutions recommendations to AOS leaders in accordance with Lean principles and help with deployment in the workshop.

  • To ensure consistency of AOS within the Service organization/ country according to the referential  

Managing the change and accompanying the implementation

  • To manage the change of mindset during the implementation of AOS bricks across the business with the AOS leaders,

  • To support AOS leaders,  managers and stakeholders in understanding the AOS system (principles, processes and tools) to improve business performance,

  • To drive concrete problem resolution with Multifunctional team in ensuring proper outcomes communication to demonstrate lean approach,

  • To facilitate workshops analysis on topics of performance improvement Safety / Quality / Costs / Delivery / People

  • To coach and advise on AOS & Lean Tools / methods

  • To deploy support strategies including structured feedback, “I do > We do > You do” mentoring, training,…

  • To ensure knowledge transfer to local AOS team (AOS Leaders) by practicing,

Developing and disseminating AOS culture/mindset

  • To organize and support the annual AOS Assessments/Self-assessment within the Service organization on Key AOS bricks

  • To animate the AOS leader community forum to share and  inform on AOS best practices, Business experiences & feedback, standard evolutions,

  • To collaborate and communicate internally and externally to stakeholders and liaise with other central experts (AOS, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc.)

Your boarding pass:

  • You have a Master degree and demonstrate some experience in lean management, in the automotive industry or equivalent,

  • Having a consulting profile would be a plus,

  • You are able to drive Problem resolution, under several Lean methodologies, considering complex environment within cross organization, 

  • Knowledge of Lean/ Continuous improvement and performance management experience (VSM, SQCDP, Visual Management, 5S, VA/NVA, PPS, etc.)), 

  • Experience with cultural transformation and operational excellence,

  • Strong stakeholders management & networking skills,

  • You are pragmatic and imaginative,

  • English is mandatory and french is a plus
