Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for aLead Buyer Transport Services (M/F) to join our General Procurement Transport Team based in Toulouse, France. 

The General Procurement Transport Team is responsible for securing Airbus Group wide transport solutions for air, sea and land-based transport modes for all Airbus sites and divisions by procuring the means from external transport service providers.

This includes establishing strong relationships with the suppliers and contractualisation of the commercial terms and conditions for maximizing the value-added for Airbus.

The General Procurement Transport Team is also engaging in line with business demands to provide transport means to our flying parts suppliers for an optimized transport cost structure.

Your challenges: 

  • Managing the end-to-end procurement activity for a portfolio of suppliers for general or oversized cargo transport services across the Airbus Group. This includes market intelligence evaluation; definition, adaptation and implementation of market segment strategies; the management of call-for-tenders (CFTs), including contract drafting and commercial negotiations, to achieve best-in-class purchasing conditions in line with internal customer and Company requirements 

  • Leading the Multi-functional / Multi-divisional Teams (MFT/MDT) through the CFT and contract lifecycle phases 

  • Establish, expand and intensify long-term relationships with your portfolio of suppliers to ensure Airbus remains the preferred customer

  • Manage the Company internal stakeholders during all phases of the engagement with the service provider, specifically during periods requiring additional support for  service innovation and improvement, major service adaptation or supplier development

  • Leading specifically selected Company - supplier projects to advance on Airbus’ strategic roadmaps in the field of sustainability, supply chain resilience, competitiveness, digitalisation and innovation

  • Lead the implementation and execution within the Transport Team of General Procurement transverse activities,  define new and harmonised processes applicable across the Company Divisions to maximise the Transport Procurement Team added value for the business and support the Transport Team Leader in the Team change and improvement management

Your boarding pass: 

  • A highly motivated team player and continuous learner with a minimum of 5 years experience as a buyer; ideally with the last two years in a senior position.

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management of senior leadership and strong assertiveness in front of service provider / supplier companies who are market leaders in transportation

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills; able to deliver precise messages to different audiences including top management

  • Strategic thinker: able to acquire, expand and implement procurement strategies based on business needs, sourcing policies and the evolution of laws & regulations impacting market conditions

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Logistics or equivalent

  • Language requirements: full professional proficiency in English required, French and/or German is a plus

Salary range: 

Salary range based on the required profile: 55 to 65K€/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication.
