WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Come and join JLR as a Lead BEV Test Quality Engineer, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Powertrain Department.

 

You will work within the Propulsion BEV Domain supporting vehicle testing activity across all our new Battery Electric Vehicle Platforms.

 

You will be at the forefront of supporting the whole Propulsion department in achieving a high level of powertrain quality & robustness, by resolving issues as quickly as possible with the diligence to prevent recurrence, using a data-driven approach. You will work closely with a team of test engineers who are carrying out similar issue-resolution activities on the prototype test fleet.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Prioritisation & triage of powertrain system issues identified on the vehicle fleet
  • Ensure quality data is captured and problem definition described and logged
  • Lead issue resolution, where appropriate
  • Assist in identifying appropriate ERA, ICA & PCA’s   
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, developing positive relationships and ensuring that information is shared from and to the domain as appropriate

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Understanding of the architecture and function of a BEV propulsion system
  • Data analysis and reporting of test data (using INCA or CANalyzer or equivalent)
  • Natural problem solver with a structured approach to problem-solving in a technical environment
  • To be inquisitive – The ability to evaluate and appropriately challenge existing ideas, processes and ways of working to optimise how we work as a team
  • A full UK driving license
