What you'll do:

As a Logistics Launch Leader, you will report to the Logistics Director on a daily operational basis, supporting launch program activities.
Additionally, you will remain completely embedded in the Plant's Organization to ensure that the launch is fully connected to the daily plant quality issues and that we are leveraging the launch to eliminate these concerns in future models.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide logistics manufacturing input to the responsible ME during Virtual Build.
  • Work together with all VCC plant employees necessary to secure the departments KPI’s.
  • Identify and report logisitcs concerns (End-to-End) and participate in resolution.
  • Assist Logistics Director, Plant Launch Leaders and Launch Supervisor in identifying base, difficult and critical operations, and assessing training requirements.
  • Attend and support VP Build activities in PVö and the TT/PP/MP builds in the plant.
  • Assist with the trial and prove-out of new equipment & tooling, incl new logistics processes.
  • Assess prototype units at VP and participate in concern identification and resolution, mainly packaging and industrial vehicle related.
  • Provide ongoing communication on product/process changes to manufacturing and logistics work groups.
  • Work with Logistics Engineering and Material handling teams to provide input to ensure a flawless launch of new car models and model year changes introductions.
  • Develop initial Quality Process System and WES/OIS Sheets.
  • Participate with Plant Launch Leaders/Launch Supervisor to develop initial material control plans.
  • Set up and organize static training areas.
  • Conduct static and dynamic training with operators during launch builds.
  • Document operator training during launch.
  • Handover to material handling and operations team after launch.

What competencies are we looking for:

  • Requires min 5yr "running material handling" experience/knowledge.
  • Min 3yr leading/coaching experience
  • Min Bachelor level.
  • Is willing to follow extensive training for personal enrichment.
  • Is flexible both during the week (differed shifts) as in weekends and is willing to travel when needed.
  • Is able to give training both formal and informal and make the training material.Problem-solving and target-minded view.
  • Trained in ergonomics.
  • Certified Yellow Belt, Green Belt is preferable (Europe)
  • Fluent in English.
