Internship within Cleanliness Contamination Control for Space Applications (d/f/m)

  • Duration: 3-6 months

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Experience the field of satellite manufacturing and their environment with direct link to surface and material technologies.

  • Focus on cleanliness and contamination control and space environment contamination aspects

  • Create and develop database for the materials

  • Support in the daily engineering business of process and technology developments

  • Preparation and execution of measurements and tests under laboratory conditions as well as evaluation and interpretation of test results together with engineering teams from Airbus DS

  • Company internal documentation and presentation of development results

  • Concept elaboration of new technology applications

  • Work and cooperate with an internal teams of different disciplines

  • This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

  • You will support us in developing a new process to full fill contamination requirements of the spacecraft missions.

  • This includes understanding clean room conditions and effects on the final spacecraft products.

  • This job requires awareness on cleanliness for the space products.

 Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled student within chemistry, physics, material science, aerospace engineering or similar field of study.

  • Ideally you have prior experiences with analytical/optical methods like FTIR (infrared spectrometry), optical microscope.

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office software like excel, word etc.

  • Ability to work and communicate in transnational working groups.

  • Willingness to work independently, high level of motivation for learning and improvement of skills, personal initiative and the ability for efficient timing.

  • Fluent in English and excellent writing skills.

  • German is a plus.

  • You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, are creative and think out of the box.
