Internship within Payload Data Processing for space-borne Instruments (d/f/m)

  • Duration: 3-6 months

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Understanding the Measurement Concept of the Earth Observation payload and its data processing concept

  • Ability to identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements

  • Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.

  • Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled student (d/f/m) within aerospace or numerical engineering, natural sciences, physics, mathematics, software engineering or similar field of study

  • Basic experience in Matlab or Python

  • Experience in the domain of Numerical Analysis/Computational Physics is an asset

  • Experience in version control systems (e.g. git) and collaborative workflow is an asset

  • German or English: Fluent
