Intern within Vehicle Physical Integration (d/f/m)

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will support us within following different areas:

Integration coordination:

  • Carrying out concept and integration studies for new developments and further developments in existing helicopter programmes - with regard to clearance, function, accessibility, maintainability, functional and operational compatibility

  • Organisation of digital mock-up meetings to avoid incompatibilities (geometric, functional, safety-related as well as accessibility, maintainability)

  • Follow-up of action plans, development of solution proposals and execution of final collision investigations before design freeze and production release

  • Presentation of results in technical briefs and reports with associated action plans

Digital Mock-Up (DMU) Management:

  • Preparation of DMU environments as a basis for subsequent integration studies

  • Preparation of DMU environments as a basis for illustrations for quotations, design reviews, etc.

  • Ensuring 3D data quality in cooperation with relevant departments and external partners and defining measures to improve data quality

  • Organisation of 3D data transfer with partners

  • Checking the completeness and quality of 3D models and, if necessary, requesting correct 3D models from the relevant departments

 Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the field of Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable course of study

  • Good knowledge of office programs (Google Workspace, MS Office, etc.)

  • Basic knowledge in mechanical installation/integration of equipment or structural elements

  • Basic knowledge in the use of CAD software (ideally CATIA V5)

  • Basic programming knowledge (VBA, Javascript or similar) - an advantage but not necessary

  • Language Skills: English - advanced level, German and / or French - could be a plus
