Tax Accountant
The Tax Accountant will work in a team environment and support the Company’s income tax and financial reporting functions. Operating as an integral part of the tax department, this role will collaborate with tax colleagues as well as our accounting, legal and operational teams.
The Tax Accountant reports to the Tax Accounting Manager.
Location: Remote, USA
Compensation Range: $50,000 - $82,500 annually
Responsibilities
- Prepare various book/tax difference calculations and schedules for federal income tax returns
- Prepare apportionment and other supporting schedules for multistate income tax returns
- Prepare estimated payment calculations
- Prepare schedules supporting the income tax provision
- Work towards proficiency in ASC 740 concepts and tax provision software
- Research tax positions and assist in supporting tax strategies
- Assist with audits and special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent communication
- Knowledge of and eventual proficiency in Hyperion, Excel, Longview, and other systems as assigned
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP and income tax laws and proficiency in research of such items
- Data analysis and ability to leverage technology, proficiency in processes and data manipulation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prior work experience in tax or accounting desired
- CPA or candidate eligible for the CPA exam desired
