WHAT TO EXPECT 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HIL Test Engineer to join the testing team at our Software Centre of Excellence in Shannon.  

 

Within this role you will get the opportunity to be a part of creating the test platform environment setup, Test scripting / automation and Test execution based on business need. 

This is to enable the ECU software system level testing such as on vehicle network management, propulsion features, diagnostics, power supply control, high voltage system, AC and DC charging features and software flashing (inc. software over the air). 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop Hardware in the Loop (HIL) rigs test capabilities based on Vector / dSpace  as per software test requirement needs. 

  • Develop the simulation strategy based on test requirement to achieve the departmental virtual validation objectives. 

  • Responsible to specify the BoM (Bill of Material) to enable the HIL platform setup. 

  • Provide rig modelling and rig system debugging to support the test needs. 

  • Testing capability development including test automation scripting and test execution where required manually or automatically. 

  • Day to day HIL rig maintenance to enable smooth manual and automated ECU software testing. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

 

  • Experience in Test Automation Tools 

  • Vector (CANoe/ CANalyzer / CAPL) 

  • dSpace (Automation Desk / Control Desk) 

  • Python or C++  

  • Knowledge of vehicle architectures, networks, and diagnostics 

  • Experience to interpret specific test requirements and vehicle circuit diagram into HIL test setup.
