Job Description:
Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Financial Controller to join our team in Stevenage, Hertfordshire or Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Your role will be to challenge and support the business in terms of financial and operational performance improvement and to be involved in supporting exciting company projects
SECURITY CLEARANCE: The successful candidate will be subject to SC (Security Check) in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data on performance against budgets/targets highlighting any discrepancies and risks and opportunities
- Develop and run financial models / simulations / scenarios to support decision making and provide a comprehensive view on the financial implications of business decisions
- Control project actuals vs forecast and ensure timely reporting and cash flow
- Compute the hourly rate and maintain targets
- Ensure timely and meaningful planning & reporting – produce accurate financial reporting at the appropriate level of granularity and anticipate financial risks and advise on mitigation strategies
- Directly support the UK Finance Business Partner across multiple functions and projects
ABOUT YOU – Your Skills
- An experienced financial controller who excels in initiating change and developing financial controls aligned with the companies’ financial vision for the business
- Finance project management experience
- Pro-activity, flexibility and excellent communication
- Business partnering skills.
