Volvo Cars are on an exciting journey to expand our in-house software development capabilities. We at the department Computing Infrastructure System (CIS) are a vital part of this aspiration. Our teams are building the next generation high-performance in-vehicle computers (“Core System”), designed to host the needs of next generation vehicles.
We exist to provide a robust, safe, and secure system design, and to successfully release the configured computing infrastructure system. We are accountable for a software flow that gives fast feedback to software developers and to deliver the system with known quality.
We are working in a broad group with multiple knowledge and competence areas within the test and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) areas. The team is specialized in testing of the core system utilizing several test environments such as test cars and automated rigs.
We are now looking for a skilled and ambitious Execution Leader to strengthen our team.
What you'll do
In the role as Execution Leader, you will work closely with a Lead Architect and an Engineering manager to get the team(s) to perform their best. You will lead the execution of the team’s technical content, ensuring the delivers is on time, and continuously optimizing project timelines, costs, and quality while addressing risks and aligning team efforts with overall project objectives.
You will coach and guide the team to execute deliverables effectively. Together with the team identify opportunities to improve time, cost, and quality efficiency.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and performance metrics.
What you'll bring
We believe that you have experience in test development and test automation, preferably within automotive.
You have a true interest in, and at least a few years of experience from leading and developing teams in projects.You strive for continuous improvement and are good at identifying complex issues and finding a way to handle them together with the team(s).
You are structured and communicative, care about people around you and enjoy working together with the team(s), other leaders and stakeholders to see results.
You have a B.Sc. degree or similar and are fluent in English (spoken as well as written).
