Ethics & Compliance Program Lead

We’re currently looking for an Ethics & Compliance Program Lead to join our team in Franklin, TN.

We are seeking an Ethics and Compliance Program Lead that will support the Sr. Mgr., Ethics and Compliance, Americas Region in administering, developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring adherence to the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) program of the company.  The Ethics and Compliance Program Lead also collaborates with stakeholders to build a sustainable and comprehensive Ethics and Compliance program that mitigates risk and fosters a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

The following lists primary responsibilities, however, this position is not limited to these specifically:

  • Compliance Risk Management

    • For the Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA): actively engages stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including but not limited to: Global Compliance, subject matter experts (SMEs), Legal, and the regional E&C team to mitigate regulatory risks by conducting compliance risk assessments on high-risk areas of the company, driving a consistent approach to assessing Compliance risks, and reporting on effectiveness of resourcing to the risk

    • Collaborates with other markets and regions to ensure alignment, consistency, and understanding of the compliance risk assessment process and deliverables

    • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and discuss the root causes of the risks and proposed action plans designed to mitigate those root causes 

    • Monitors progress on the business’s action plans for high-risk areas from the CRA results

    • Maintains relationships with other business areas conducting risk assessments and monitoring programs for streamlined coordination of enterprise risk management

    • Reports CRA results and monitoring progress to the Global Compliance Office
       

  • Operational Compliance

    • AML (Anti-Money Laundering) program management (adherence to laws and regulations through maturity of E&C program)

    • ABAC (Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption) program management (adherence to laws and regulations through maturity of E&C program)

    • TPRM (Third-Party Risk Management) program oversight and integration in partnership with stakeholder functional areas on assessing and mitigating risks associated with third-parties and their sub-contractors through a risk-based approach
       

  • Provides guidance and training on operational Compliance best practices

  • Stays current with industry trends and regulatory expectations

  • Local Market Responsibilities

  • Leads additional E&C projects and deliverables as needed to support the Sr. Mgr., Ethics & Compliance

  • Responsible for managing local market E&C budget and expenses including but not limited to: processing monthly accruals, forecasting and budgeting, expense tracking (via SAP), purchase order creation and monitoring, and negotiation of SOWs with providers/vendors

  • Main liaison for proactive Regional E&C team objectives, deliverables, activities, and local engagement and implementation such as:

    • E&C pillars

    • Ethics Day planning, organization, implementation, and follow up

    • Conducts new manager orientation and E&C roadshow awareness communication events and presentations

    • Manages all US/CN policies and procedures and acts as a liaison with the local market business areas

    • Supports special projects on high-risk business areas such as program design, development, and oversight (V-Fast participation)

    • Administers E&C forms (such as Conflicts of Interest and Gifts & Hospitality)

  • You have experience in administering, developing, implementing or monitoring governance functions such as Compliance, Internal Audit, ERM (Enterprise Risk Management), ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), Internal Controls or Legal

  • You have high ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and reputation of the organization as well as understand and adhere to both the highest level of confidentiality and model integrity behavior.

  • You possess an in-depth knowledge of AML, ABAC and TPRM regulations and international standards

  • You possess a strong background in risk management

  • You are a problem solver and do not say “that is not in my job description”

  • You can manage multiple complex projects and deliverables while achieving results in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can think on your feet as well as pivoting and adapting simultaneously

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills including note-taking and experience in presenting to senior leadership and stakeholders

  • You’re driven to work autonomously, execute, and act quickly 

  • You have experience administering policies and/or procedures

  • You’re process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness 

  • You have enjoyed success working on cross-functional teams within a corporate environment

  • You possess exceptional judgment and the proven ability to understand and present significant matters in a concise, coherent manner to key stakeholders

  • You have executive presence and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization as well as the ability to present information in a digestible format for senior leadership 

  • You are fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, or French (in addition to English)

  • You are methodical, organized, and able to organize others

  • You are curious, proactive and comfortable working in unstructured environments

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three or more years of business risk management, compliance experience, or equivalent required

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Ability to interpret complex regulations

  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely

  • Thorough computer knowledge such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, OneNote, etc.), Teams and other PC applications, to resolve problems in day-to-day situations

  • Fluent English speaker
     

Additional Requirements:

  • Advanced degree desired (e.g., Compliance, Ethics, ESG, Risk, Finance, Accounting, Law, or other professional qualification) 

  • Professional certification desired (e.g., CCEP, CCEP-I, ACFE, CPA, CIA, JD, Paralegal, PMP)

  • Located locally (Franklin, TN area); relocation not available

  • Travel 10-20%
