Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Machining engineer (f/m) based in Marignane, France.
You will join the Materials and Processes Laboratory team in charge of promote, develop and qualify new materials and advanced processes.

Your challenges:
The position will consist in supporting the design office as well as Manufacturing Engineering and Production for dynamic components and airframe on machining topics.
You will contribute to the following main activities:

Treatment of internal and external non-conformities

Ensure production and airworthiness continuity during changes (obsolescence, transfer of work…)

Participate to continuous improvement through multi-function teams, corrective actions and maturity increase for current processes

Contribute to the revision of all Airbus Helicopters group documentation regarding machining

Manage industrial projects on machining solutions for the industrialisation of new parts and serial production, including management of associated engineering subcontracting, in full autonomy

Qualify and monitor Airbus’ suppliers on manufacturing processes

Perform technological lookout on machining, drilling, grinding, superfinishing processes, propose and push technological innovations in the domain

This role will involve some travels for business once a month in France and Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Your profile:
We are looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:
-
Good knowledge with several years’ experience in the field of manufacturing processes (machining, drilling, grinding...) as well as their impact on surface integrity and fatigue life of parts; some knowledge about NC programming is a plus

The applicant must be capable of managing a portfolio of various studies according to a pre-agreed planning with his stakeholders

Airworthiness notions will also be necessary, internal training is available

Dynamic and agile, you can communicate with ease and are attracted by industrial challenges

Able to listen, understanding the problem of your client is the basis of your way of working

Curious, you like to work in multidisciplinary team, and have good analytical skills

Language skills:
English: advanced
French: fluent
