About us

We are the Power Electronics SW Technology Area within Power Electronics department, a part of Propulsion and Energy unit at Volvo Cars. Within Power Electronics SW, we are responsible for system design and SW for electric drive inverters, transmission, DC/DCs, and onboard chargers.

The Power Electronics SW Technology Area develops state-of-the-art embedded software in-house, including complete system safety design, SW architecture, integration, testing and release.

As Engineering Manager for Inverter Controls within Power Electronics SW you will be responsible for a group consisting of function developers and SW design engineers. Inverter Controls is responsible of SW detailed design, development and testing (ASPICE: SWE3 & SWE4) of functions like; derating control, thermal monitoring, thermal control, Power variants, mode management, immobilizer, power management.

Competence is Important

  • M.Sc. or equivalent and proven technical experience
  • Proven experience in an equivalent position
  • Documented leadership qualities and experiences
  • Driving license is nesessary
  • Knowledge and experience in Power Electronics Control is meritorious
  • Previous experience in Automotive is meritorious
