This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the implementation of digital business services and platforms. As a part of this transformation journey we have set up a GIC in the silicon valley of India - Bangalore. This state of the art GIC is responsible for driving excellence in IT for Airbus. 

Due to expansion of our activities we have a vacancy within Airbus Commercial for an Endpoint Security Architect within the Roof, Extended Enterprise & Foundation (DSF) department. 

 

About US:

Security for Network and EndPoint (DSFF) Product Line is in charge of 3 main Cybersecurity products :

Security for Network : Is defining and implementing the strategy to secure the company’s network with solutions like Websandboxing/NDR on top of ensuring network cybersecurity standards are observed.

 

Security for Endpoint : Is defining and implementing the strategy to secure the company's  endpoints (Laptops, desktops, Servers,...) with solutions like EPP/EDR/Disk Encryption on top of ensuring Endpoint cybersecurity standards are observed.

Zero Trust : Is about framing a Zero Trust approach jointly with Corporate Security while implementing concrete Zero trust features and designing Zero Trust cybersecurity standards.

What you will be doing:

As a Security Architect, you will work as a designer guiding solution design for Security for Endpoint in line with Enterprise Architecture guidelines and Security Framework. You will also provide guidance for operational validations.

More precisely you will work with the Product Manager in charge of the Security for Endpoint.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain the organisation's endpoint security architecture, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and meets regulatory requirements.

  • Manage and enhance the security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure remote access solutions.

  • Implement and manage zero trust principles and technologies across the organisation's network.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security risks, develop strategies, and implement solutions to mitigate risks.

  • Collaborate internally with Security for Endpoint teams focused on Build and  RUN activities. 

  • Stay up to date with the latest endpoint security trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.

  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify security gaps and recommend remediation actions.

  • Support security incident response efforts, including investigating and resolving security incidents in a timely manner.

  • Provide guidance and support to IT teams and end-users on endpoint security best practices.

  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to educate employees on endpoint security.

  • Being the link between IT governance, innovative solutions and new initiatives (inside/outside airbus)

  • Technologies trends monitoring and sharing knowledge with the team (Information & Knowledge management)

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate/Post Graduate with 7+ years of experience in IT Security, Cyber or equivalent field.  

  • Solid experience in endpoint security architecture design and implementation.

  • Strong knowledge of security principles and technologies, including EPP,EDR, Encryption, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure remote access.

  • Familiarity with zero trust concepts, principles, and technologies.

  • Experience with McAfee, FireEye, Bitlocker, and Vectra or similar security tools.

  • Excellent understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly desirable.

  • Experience in security  advisory or consulting roles is a plus.
