Your role:
- Prepare Requests for Quotes, analyze the quotes and negotiate contracts with logistic service providers for the EMEA region and other regions such as NA and AP
- Be a part of logistics sourcing strategy implementation for the EMEA region
- Ensure that all logistic requirements from the operations side are covered and comply with the Logistics Operating System
- Ensure that all Sourcing Recommendations are entered in Sourcing Process Application
- Ensure contracts with logistic service providers as well as Service Level Agreements are finalized on time
- Lead and take part in global sourcing projects
- Manage contracts and maintain all rates and agreements in a defined database
- Manage relations with suppliers and monitor their performance
- Follow, analyze, and close the open claims with suppliers
- Support operations in analyses of the logistic cost studies
- Be part of optimization studies to improve operations/flows (incl. inventory cost and tact time analyses in case of warehousing operations)
- Lead logistics workshops with suppliers to achieve cost and operational improvements
- Drive attainment of EMEA logistics cost savings goal
- Provide support on enlarging the carriers &Warehousing provider database
- Drive the implementation on new sourcing tools(Rate Management tool, Benchmark tools)
- Support and develop sourcing procedure
Essential requirements:
- Master’s degree in logistics, economy, or production engineering
- Good knowledge related to transport, warehousing and contract logistics services
- 4 years of work experience in logistic service purchasing, preferably in area of the automotive sector
- Strong negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel a minimum of 30% of work time
- Good command of English , and German will be an advantage
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
