Mission of the Job

Designing and implementing real time software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment

Main activities

  • Designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging software for space equipment, in the field of signal processing, HW resource management, data handling, interface protocol management, and monitoring and control
  • Designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging software for EGSE and Testing equipment
  • Analysing and enhancing efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources

Education/Training:

  • University Master Degree in Telecommunication or Informatics Engineering

Experience:

  • Essential: Proven working experience in software engineering
  • Essential: Experience in hand-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
  • Essential: Solid programming experience in C/C++
  • Essential: Proven experience in embedded system design respecting the real-time needs
  • Essential:  Knowledge the protocols/standard used into the interfaces (i.e. SpaceWire, RMAP, CAN bus / CAN open)
  • Essential:  Experience in Linux and PetaLinux
    Essential:  Experience in SOC system and embedded OS
  • Essential: >4 years in Aeronautic / Defence / Space sectors in the fields of embedded SW
  • Desirable: Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
  • Desirable:  Knowledge of IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
  • Desirable : Knowledge of the ECSS standards

  • C, C++, Matlab
  • Microchip MPLAB X IDE
  • Xilinx Vitis
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ghidra (desiderable)

Languages:

  • Italian (written and spoken)
  • English (written and spoken)
