What You'll Do

In this exciting role as a Hardware Engineer, you will become part of a dynamic team responsible for developing hardware components for our infotainment systems, including head units and interface components. You’ll play a vital role in shaping our innovative products, collaborating with suppliers to meet our requirements while ensuring timelines and cost-efficiency goals are met.

Working with cutting-edge technologies such as Android Auto, you’ll help Volvo Cars lead the way in the automotive and infotainment space. Our team fosters creativity, collaboration, and professional growth, where new functionalities and solutions are consistently implemented. This position is based at our R&D Headquarters in Gothenburg at Lindholmen, a vibrant environment dedicated to innovation.

Who You Are

You are an experienced hardware developer with a proven track record of delivering impactful results. With approximately five years of product development experience, preferably within the automotive industry, you bring strong technical project leadership skills and a deep understanding of electronic hardware development and software systems. Your educational background includes a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, Mechanics, or a related field.

You excel in collaborative, inclusive environments and value transparent communication. Your curiosity and passion for learning drive you to continuously grow and improve. You’re highly organized and thrive in structured environments, with an ability to plan and manage complex projects effectively.

Your technical expertise includes electronics hardware design, electromagnetic compatibility, cyber security, and knowledge of processes such as FMEA, DV/PV testing, and ISO-TS. If you have experience managing electronic hardware components for production or leading cross-functional projects, your background is particularly well-suited for this role.
