Main Technical Referent Responsibilities :
Technical Project Management:
Drives and Delivers the Overall System Integration, Verification and Validation Strategy, Plan and Costs Estimations of the Project and ensures its approval by System PM and System TPM.
Manages the System Validation sub project teams and activities, to execute above mentioned strategy and deliver in time for each System Delivery relevant V&V reports. These activities include System Integration Testing, System Verification and Validation, associated System Validation Services, System Validation Test Tool environment development, considering test execution in following environments SIL, HIL and Vehicle as per the approved project test strategy.
Manages the System Test Leads.
Manages the System Integration Test Lead.
Coordinates the Project Test Tool development team for acquisition, development and delivery of validated test environment solutions that are sufficient for application of the approved test strategy and test plan, for related test levels, ensuring Functional Safety compliance
Manages the System Validation services coordinator.
Manages the System Validation project budget and approval of purchases of the system validation team.
Monitors and controls the progress of System Validation activities according to the Overall system validation schedule and ensures all System Validation activities are complete according to customer expected timelines and highlighting in advance any possible delays.
Is responsible for the Overall system validation schedule aligned with the Project schedule and Valeo milestones.
Delivers and maintains the SVPR document and System Baseline Audit Document.
Delivers on time Deliverables expected for Valeo Project milestones in the area of responsibility.
Team work:
Maintains close contact with the Project management team in order to ensure a unified approach in terms of timing, content, costs and quality of project deliveries.
Participates at the weekly System Project steering committee lead by System PM, makes sure that all deliverables from System, SW and Mecathronics sub projects needed by the System Validation sub project to fulfill its targets are referenced in the system project schedule maintained by System PM, and regularly monitors them
Participates at the Content Control Board meetings, as per the project orchestration process, analyses, reviews and agrees with the other project roles the scope planned to be released.
Aligning with the system FMEA requirements to propose validation/verification solutions for identified system failure modes and their mitigation
Assesses, together with all sub projects TPMs, all incoming change request - internal and external - and adapt the plan and cost accordingly
Coordinates the System Baseline Audit meeting in order to reach a common agreement with the other project roles.
Compares planned vs. achieved: takes go/no go decision (to share with System PM, System TPM and SW TPM).
Risks Management in the area of responsibility.
Management of internal and external suppliers for System Validation sub project. Communications/Reporting
Reports overall status of System Validation activities to System Project Manager, including Functions perfomance (KPIs) status.
Defines, consolidates and reports the overall status of Testing activities, in terms of requirements coverage, test execution and pass rate, reported issues, product and features maturity.
Communicates inputs to system test lead and system integration test lead (requirements, problem records...)
Communicate with System Project Manager in case of resources issue for testing.
Active Support of customer interaction and communication in relation to System Validation topics, which contains, but is not limited to the following: review of customer requirements in terms of testing, reporting of test results, organization of common testing workshops, alignment of test strategy, vehicle test campaigns organization, test vehicles availability for testing according to project schedule.
Regular meetings participation and reporting as per Valeo project orchestration process.
Escalation of issues to Project Manager ,Hierarchical Manager or Metier Manager, in terms of test capacity availability, budget constraints, internal and external delays, project issues, customer issues, process deviations and provides mitigations proposals.
Ensures good communication between all VALEO sites involved in delivery of system validation activities to the project.
Approvals:
Has an approval authority over the customer acceptance criteria, in terms of coverage, of testing scope, testing strategy, measurements, accuracy of measurements, test environments, which are in scope of the System Validation Sub Project.
Approves the Design & Readiness of the Test Environment, incl. System validation toolchain.
Approves the System Test Resources (Engineers & Environment) Deployment Plan.
Reviews and approves the test plans and schedules of the reporting test leads for system integration, verification and validation activities, the test environment development and associated system validation services.
Approves the scope and the deployment of the Smoke Test.
Reviews & Approves the Test Reports.
Approves the Test Closure activities.
To approve purchases and spending of the System Validation team.
Process:
Drives and deploys in his own sub project team the Valeo project orchestration process.
Deploys Test processes in its own sub project in line with the latest release of CDA product process (Siph).
Ensures own project process areas (SYS.4 and SYS.5) are ASPICE compliant with the requested level.
Follows a continuous improvement mindset, in order to share and implement lessons learned.
Continuously identifies areas for improvement, defines measures and ensures implementation in his/her area of responsibility.
Support SysVal fundamentals group in defining and rolling out relevant process evolutions and documentation SYS VAL Metier Contributions
Contributes to the SYS VAL Discipline for efficiency levers, overall Test standardisation of methods, processes and tools and optimizations of costs.
Involvement with Test Leads and Test Engineers for innovation and development of alternative test solutions to existing applications e.g. automation development.
Actively supporting the development of SysVal Technology pillars of automation, standardization, simulation and virtual validation, advanced SysVal and data management.
