What does this internship consists of?

Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (DISCOVER) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to DISCOVER the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.

The start of the internship will be in early March 2023, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated engineer to join our Technology Department and play a relevant role in enhancing our technology ecosystem, working closely with key stakeholders, including centers of competence, partners, universities, research centers, funding bodies, and being focused on our customers' future needs. 

 Key Responsibilities:

 1. R&T Public Funding Portfolio Support:

  • Manage a Technology portfolio (around 60 projects) by maintaining databases that are aligned with other divisions.
  • Provide support for the preparation of project proposals for public funding calls. 

2. University-Business Collaboration support:

  • Support collaboration between our organization and main Airbus home countries (Spanish, German, France and UK) universities.
  • Establish and manage a digital repository to explore potential partnership opportunities. 

3. Performance Dashboard and Reporting:

  • Assist in the creation of a monthly performance dashboard.
  • Integrate key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain databases.
  • Prepare reports for the Engineering Steering Board to track our department's performance. 

4. Internal Communication:

  • Foster internal communication within the department by creating and managing posts on our internal web-page (hub).
  • Initiate expert interviews and initiatives to share knowledge and insights. 

5. Data Collection and Management:

  • Gather information related to R&T Public Funding projects, including descriptions, timelines, budgets, partner details, and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with various divisions to ensure data is accurately recorded and accessible for cross-divisional purposes.

Required skills

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Recently graduates/Master students in (Aerospace, Industrial, Telecom) Engineering

- Strong organizational and database management skills.

- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Business written and verbal communication skills in English

- Spanish: negotiation level.

- Team spirit and great collaboration skills.

- Ability to work in complex and international environments.
