DFC Recovery Collector

The DFC Recovery Collector is responsible for providing quality customer experience while working to collect and negotiate terms of repayment on charged off and unsecured account balances.

The DFC Recovery Collector reports to the DFC Collateral Supervisor.

Location: Tigard, OR or Medford, OR

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound collection attempts by phone, mail, and e-mail to resolve delinquent accounts in an ethically responsible manner by mitigating losses and maximizing receivable income.
  • Process, follow up, and resolve inbound collection and customer service telephone inquiries.
  • Review accounts for action such as repossession, settlement opportunities, transfer to third party collection, closure, and charge off.
  • Conduct skip tracing, as necessary, to obtain contact information in order to contact delinquent/defaulted customers
  • Demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and good judgment in all interactions with co-workers and customers to ensure timely resolution of customer discrepancies and disputes
  • Provide backup support to teammates as needed
  • Meet or exceed established call volume and account action requirements
  • Works independently based upon established procedures by department
  • Other duties as assigned

  • PC skills including knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Windows, etc.)
  • 2 years previous collections experience preferred
