Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer (f/m) with strong background in Kubernetes to join our EIIT - IM Infrastructures & Digital Platforms Department based in Marignane, France.

You will be part of a team developing and deploying automation into every process and products where automation and self-service are key needs for Airbus Helicopters

As part of the Openshift container squad in the Cloud of Automation team, you will play a critical role in Developing, testing, integrating, maintaining highly automated and scalable deployment environments, utilizing industry best practices ].

Your challenges:

Integrated in a  Product Service Line team (EIITC) managing Containers, Devops, Cloud, Automation, Self-service, E2E Monitoring and Mixed Reality and leading automation for all IM (Information Management) your main mission will be to define, develop, integrate, test, run automation pipelines; develop and support automation scripts used and deployed in many pipelines and processes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Deployment Automation: Develop, integrate test and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Python-based automation frameworks  to ensure continuous and reliable application deployments. Use tools such as Git, Tekton and others to orchestrate the deployment of microservices and containers.

  • Custom Tooling and Scripting: Utilize Python to develop custom tools and scripts for streamlining and enhancing various DevOps processes, including monitoring, log analysis, and performance optimization.

  • Infrastructure as Code Configuration and Management: Dealing with templatizations, Helm Charts to manage kubernetes infrastructure as code, enabling reproducible configuration and efficient applications infrastructure management.

  • Collaboration and Technical Support: Work closely with software development teams to provide technical support in the design, deployment, and optimization of applications. Participate in resolving complex issues related to infrastructure and deployment.

  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for Kubernetes environments, including secret management, access control, and adherence to security standards.*

  • Infrastructure Management: Design and implement scalable Kubernetes-based architectures for applications and services. Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (RedHat Openshift) to ensure optimal performance and high availability.

You will:

  • Act as a focal point on automation development and DevSecOps

  • Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle, from analysis, design, testing and integration to product operation in accordance with the product Manager of the DevOps solutions.

  • Research, evaluate and develop new tools to improve the efficiency of product development

  • Deploys, tests and/or integrates highly available, scalable, maintainable and controlled systems and services.

  • May participate in the development of product user manuals.

  • Coordinate functional and technical integration.

  • Defines test strategy, scripts and scenarios and monitors test execution.

Your profile:

  • Graduated in Information Technology

  • Strong expertise in deployment automation using tools like Git, Tekton, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (Openshift is a nice to have).

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming with experience in developing robust, scalable applications and automation scripts. In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and agile methodologies.

  • Ability to troubleshoot performance, availability, and security issues in Kubernetes environments.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

  • You have a solid understanding of the complexity of large companies IS systems

  • You are autonomous, organized, Delivery and customer oriented

  • You are technology Enthusiast and happy to learn and share knowledge on new technologies popping up

  • Negotiation level of English & French

  • You love to learn and tackle challenging development with various teams across the world.
