JOB DESCRIPTION
This position must ensure that plant operates in full compliance with the Mexican Customs Regulations in a way that is consistent with our Global Trade Compliance Standard. Fulfilment with Mexico trade rulings including HTS classification, Origin certification, verification of import/export procedures, the position requires significant leadership and influencing skills as this role will engage at all levels of internal and external organizations.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support and effective solutions for the plant Import & Export operations line up the plant customs operation to all new custom requirements, Assist and provide necessary information to obtain all necessary import permits and export licenses, provide accurate information to advisor service provider in order to have an efficient import and export parts classification, Coordinator must resolve all shipment issues, Perform all record keeping processes and maintain records of all import and export customs clearances, collaborate with customs brokers to provide clearance of every import operation and maintain required documents, manage Annex 24th (Customs Inventory Control) and Annex 30th(VAT Credit Control Warranty & Balance Account System).
- SKILLS:
Trade compliance experience in automotive industry (preferentially)
Knowledge about Mexico Compliance Rules and Regulations, government programs as IMMEX, PROSEC, RULE 8th, Annex 24th (Customs Inventory Control) and Annex 30th (VAT Credit Control Warranty & Balance Account System).
- ESSENTIAL INFORMATION, TASKS AND % TIME
Required: Bachelor's degree in international trade, 1-3 years of experience, QAD-MFG- SAP, Excel, Power Point
Desirable: Proficiency in English language.
60% COMPLIANCE GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS:
Support & Assist to the plant in Import / Export operations in a consistent manner with our Global Trade Compliance Standard.
Managing Annex 24th (Customs Inventory Control) and Annex 30th (VAT Credit Control Warranty & Balance Account System).
30% AUDIT & MONITORING:
Brokers and Freight Forwarders activities associated with HTS parts classification, Apply Origin certification as well as Government Authorized Programs as PROSEC and RULE 8th.
10% PROGRAM COOPERATION:
Provide to advisor service provider all necessary information to obtain Origen Certification and deliver opportunely all essential data of components and products to have accurate HTS Classification.
