Connectivity design release engineer

Job Description

Main responsibilities

  • Manage China homeroom rest of world region connectivity project as part of global product development team. Working with global and local partners and with suppliers, to ensure project timing is not delayed and delivered with quality and on time.
  • Lead local development teams stakeholders to ensure information is aligned.
  • Work with supplier to ensure the parts release is on time with correct parts information with the strategy aligned with global development team.
  • Tracking supplier development timing for each release and the issues fixes, align with local partners and program teams on the critical issues and resolution timeline.
  • Ensure each connectivity modules has certification, regulatory requirements completed before salable build, and work with local partner to have cert test complete.
  • Working on the configuration file for each vehicle programs to ensure the contents are correct and approved by validation team.
  • Work on ETC component release for import vehicle programs, and ensure the parts reaches salable status before each salable build.

Additional Job Description

  • Knowledge:
  • 3-5 years of experience of project management.
  • Experience in in-vehicle development process, product development, execution, systems engineering, vehicle integration, or validation.
  • Experience with automotive electrical systems and functional sub-systems.
  • Expertise in Telematics, Connectivity or Infotainment software development is preferred.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with other global organizations.
  • Education and Experience: 

    BS in Software / Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics Engineering is preferred

    PMP certified is preferred

    Skills:

  • Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
  • Good project planning and management capability.
  • Quick issue understanding and action planning.
  • Strong motivation and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to conduct and participate in conference calls outside normal work hours.
