Job Description

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum.

General Motors' Marketing Intelligence & Technology (MIT) team is seeking a strategic CDP & Audience Platform Manager to lead our audience development and activation initiatives. As the CDP & Audience Platform Manager, you will be responsible for managing a centralized team focused on audience development, segmentation, onboarding, and activation. Your expertise in marketing technology platforms, particularly Adobe Experience Cloud and real-time CDPs, will enable us to deliver best-in-class customer experiences and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead, develop, train, and performance manage your team – focused on gathering audience requirements, building actionable targeting capabilities, and partnering with data science, product, and operational teams

·       Manage technology vendor and agency relationships related to real-time CDP, audience onboarding, and media/CRM activation

·       Develop and govern audience segmentation strategy and activation across media, CRM, and other marketing channels

·       Partner with the Chief Media Office, Chief Data Science Office, and Brand Marketing to influence roadmaps related to audience, segmentation, and activation

·       Operationalize the development and delivery of audience segments to scale across GM's marketing organization

·       Ensure best practices and governance in marketing audience creation and delivery processes

·       Manage and govern segmentation and audience delivery within GM's Customer Data Platform (Adobe Experience Platform) and AdTech tools

·       Collaborate with brand, analytics, and research teams to identify opportunities and democratize insights

·       Provide thought leadership and unlock new capabilities to drive modern marketing solutions

·       Define the data onboarding path and prepare for a cookieless approach to audience management and targeting

·       Partner with regional leaders to define a global approach for person-based marketing

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

·       8+ years of relevant experience leading customer personalization, segmentation, and audience strategies in a Marketing, Advertising Technology ecosystem

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)

·       Deep understanding of core marketing functions and ability to align strategic goals with MarTech solutions

·       Expertise in marketing technology platforms, including or similar to Adobe Experience Cloud (AAM, AEP, RTCDP, AJO, Campaign, Target), onboarding solutions, CRM, clean rooms, and AdTech platforms

·       Knowledge in developing and optimizing audiences across channels

·       Experience working in matrixed environments, influencing senior leadership, and partnering with VP-level stakeholders

·       Ability to mix creative and technical aspects of marketing to develop personalized customer experiences

·       Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

·       Prior experience leadership and people management experience is preferred
