WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We seek a talented engineer who will have the responsibility of supporting the development, integration and calibration of harmonised thermal systems solutions, this will include the integration of multiple interconnected components and all system interfaces for JLR vehicles products.

 

You will form part of the growing climate thermal fluids group and will play an instrumental role in the development of climate thermal system technologies from core architectural designs into specific vehicle programmes.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

  • Through Agile team environment; support integration and controls calibration of a refrigeration system for a specific vehicle platform/programme. 
  • Assist and contribute to the generation of system level targets and verification plans that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and system Failure Modes.
  • To achieve correct functional modes, efficiency and performance targets; the person in this role will take responsibility for the thermal mechanical and electrical system integration with full alignment with all system and component interfaces.
  • The use of Systems Engineering discipline as directed by the Core engineering group.
  • Develop and own refrigeration system Development and Validation plan (DVP)
  • As a team member in refrigeration and thermal fluids system, provide technical support across the wider engineering teams within the vehicle programmes.
  • Robust data analysis, reporting and escalation of issues as required.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience in a suitable engineering discipline
  • Experience of system verification and validation.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills using tools (eg. DFMEA, 8D)
  • Experience using calibration and data acquisition tools.  Eg. Canalyzer, INCA, Ipetronik.
  • Experience or a willingness to be involved with overseas vehicle and rig testing.
