This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit located in Cd Juarez Mexico. 

Summary (About this Position):

North America Junior Buyer for Supply Chain Management in the metal category (Stampings, Machined parts, castings, fasteners, Copper strip & plating). The Jr buyer is responsible to execute the global category strategy into the regional supply base by communicating, coordinating and implementing cost improvement projects. The Jr buyer is also responsible to manage the suppliers and provide support to the different areas.

Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities):

  • Manage proficiently metal escalation/de-escalation process for CS North America.
  • Runs monthly receipts reports
  • Reviews suppliers monthly/quarterly pricing reports for accuracy
  • Modifies purchase order pricing to reflect metal adjustment
  • Manages monthly metal usage tracker and verifies accuracy
  • Asses, evaluate and suggest suppliers to be included into RFQs.
  • Supports Category Buyers to on the following responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Implement Cost Improvement projects and analyze financial impact
  • Work to meet objectives related to cost and cash flow improvement as: P2P savings, Payment Terms, Shipping Terms and on time sourcing
  • Coordinate and support business transferences as assigned preventing disruptions: Tool Moves, Optimization, Rotation, FTS Changes
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and various groups.
  • Comply with policies and procedures: sourcing process, payment term deviation, etc. , and ensure 0 non conformances in EOS audits
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis and present results to upper management

Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software (eg. SAP)
  • Bilingual at least 90%
  • Proficient on MS excel, big amounts of data analysis, macros and pivot tables creation.
  • Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
