BOM Analyst

What can you expect?

  • The Logistics team is based in Tikoe Industrial Area, Maseru, Lesotho. Our responsibility is to ensure the undisrupted supply of materials with the correct quantities and packaging to production. Providing our support and interaction with the other departments in the company as well as verifying the accuracy of reports and master data to ensure the optimization of our system and functions. Managing and co-ordinating the supply of the final product to the Customer.
     
  • As the local team, we have full integration to the regional SAF Adient structure with most support functions leadership based in South Africa.

What will your responsibilities be?

•             Definition and Ownership of Manufacturing Bill of Materials in EPIC and QAD/AutoPro

•             Close communication with IMG and Engineering/Release Coordination (owners of the E-BOM)

•             Change Management: timing and tracking

•             Develop and maintain BOM review schedule

•             Lead BOM review process together with Engineering/Release Coordination

•             Plant coordination of engineering change management

•             Responsible together with the Logistics Coordinator for managing phase outs and preventing obsolescence by

                kick-off and follow up of obsolescence projects with the Logistics Analysts

                tracking customer and supplier claim information.

•             Clarification of cost roll up discrepancies

•             Clarification of cycle-count discrepancies

•             Data enrichment for QAD / SAP (this task depends on SAP roles and responsibilities, which are not defined yet)

•             Monitor “Item Dashboard” (not defined yet)

•             Ensure that item enrichment results in “active” status

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or similar industry, preferably automotive
  • Good Technical understanding of products
  • Knowledgeable in QAD/ MfgPro and Epic
  • Computer literacy including High level of excel skills.
