Job Description:

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check)

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Regular short-term visits to DH Equipment Suppliers premises within the UK, Europe and North America.

 

Location: Stevenage with Flexible, Hybrid working available

This position is for a senior On-board Data Handling Architect to represent Airbus Defence and Space Earth Observation, Navigation and Science (ENS) UK satellite programs.

 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

  • Perform trade-off studies to meet program requirements

  • Define the platform OBDH subsystem architecture to meet the DH system performance requirements, including data throughput and processing speed.

  • Define the DH Equipment requirements, prepare specifications and act as the focal point for the equipment technical requirements capture.

  • Manage the electrical, mechanical and environmental interfaces to the DH Equipment.

  • Manage the DH interfaces between payload instruments and the mass memory unit.

  • Manage the housekeeping (command and telemetry) interfaces between the payload and platform Units and the On-Board Computer.
