Bachelors student for the Thesis within Flight Test Data Fusion with Simulation Models (d/f/m)

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • In order to support automated model validation you develop a pipeline using Python to automate a mapping between flight test sensor positions in the aircraft and the related spatial zones in existing 1D simulation models.

  •  This pipeline will create a mapping table with sensors and the related model zones and a graphical representation of the zone mapping in 3D (i.e. using Blender with Python API).

 Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) within Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Computer Science or similar field of study

  • First experience with System modeling i.e. in Matlab Simulink, Python Programming and 3D data visualization.

  • Interested to work with multiple stakeholders

  • Basic skills in 3D modeling would be helpful

  • English: Fluent
