ATR - Product Marketing & Customization Manager (M/F)

Job Description:

Job Summary: 

Ensure the optimal perception of ATR Aircraft for customers & prospects as a necessary and decisive step for sales campaign success.  

 

Provide a positive marketing impact to achieve the company commercial objectives.   

Assist and support contractual teams through customized technical definition & performance guarantees during sales campaigns, considering key campaign rationales, ATR product policy and industrial capabilities. 

Be the referent within C for aircraft customization topics (in particular ATA 25) and liaise with Engineering and Program to build specific aircraft customization or customer requested new modifications. 

​ Support elaboration of meaningful argumentations and messages with deep technical and operational expertise for standard marketing material and during sales campaigns 

Understand and influence the market by identifying future product improvements driving ATR product evolution strategy, with a focus on cabin sustainability, eco design & evolving passenger behaviors & needs. 

Drive the ATR products’ technical specification and commercial options policy according to the latest developments and specific sales campaign requirements.  

Foster cross functional activities to provide technical feedback on ATR products during sales campaigns. 

 

Ensure the coordination and elaboration of technical responses to RFPs in collaboration with Contract and Sales Directors, Engineering and Customer Support divisions, as well as other relevant ATR departments. 

 

Strengthen the power of messages directed to customers in close conjunction with Airline Marketing and Market Strategy groups.  

 

Responsibilities 

Sales & Contract support (50%) 

  • Deliver customized technical specifications to support Contract teams during sales campaigns. 

  • Collaborate with Sales, Contract and Airline Marketing teams to understand campaign rationale and define value proposition through customized technical specification. 

  • Act as a key stakeholder in building up and demonstrating the added value of key commercial options to customers. 

  • Ensure internal feasibility of specific technical requests in close collaboration with Program & Engineering. 

  • Act as the focal point for contractual technical document updates (Technical Specification, Commercial Option Catalogue) 

 

Understand and influence the market, build the content (30%) 

  • Elaborate ATR product messages and build standard marketing material around the ATR products and the competition (presentation, brochures) 

  • Build value propositions and demonstrate them through ad-hoc analyses, presentations and brochures. 

  • Update regularly internal tools on competitive landscape and ATR aircraft positioning. 

  • Seek proactively new market trends including – but not limited to – cabin sustainability, eco design and evolving passenger behaviors & needs. 

  • Participate in the Aviation working groups, Advisory boards … 

  • Participate to specific events and airshows in order to promote the product, influence the market and gather customer feedback 

  • Support the Communication team on a regular basis to ensure consistency and regular update on internal and external messages regarding ATR products. 

 

Product evolution (20%) 

  • Be the voice of customers to ensure ATR product evolution strategy is in line with market expectations. 

  • Provide regular updates from sales campaigns regarding product capability to various internal stakeholders to ensure continuous product improvement strategy is in line with regional market trends & expectations. 

  • Accountable for Request For Change (RFC) process 

 

 

 

Profile 

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with one experience focused on customized specification management or technical/product marketing within an OEM. 

A solid technical and commercial understanding of regional aircraft industry & market will be required. 

 

Technical skills: 

  • Product knowledge: Aircraft systems, engines, cabin, performance, flight operation. 

  • Sound Aircraft customization,  configuration management (in particular ATA 25) and product evolution process knowledge 

  • Marketing and communication: analytic studies, messages, presentations. 

  • Understanding of aviation market key players, stakeholders, trends and drivers, and competitive landscape. 

  • Understanding of airline cost structure - a focus on Maintenance Cost would be a plus. 

 

Language skills: 

  • A high standard of fluently spoken and written English compulsory; additional ability to communicate in French and/or other languages is desirable.  

 

Soft skills:  

  • Excellent presentation style and skills: experience in making presentations to a large audience and ability to communicate with different sources and users of information.  

  • Internal communication: ability to deal with various internal stakeholders, understanding different constraints and represent commercial stand-point in a rationale way. 

  • Analytics: Strong analytical skills and ability to elaborate conclusions drawn from technical or numerical analyses into persuasive marketing arguments.  

  • Customers: ability to work in order to satisfy internal and / or external clients, managing time and quality expectations.  

  • Adaptability: capacity to adapt to new topics (technical, commercial, communication, service, tools).
