ATR - Aircraft Operability, Support & Services: Operability Referent H/F

Job Description:

MISSION

The Aircraft Operability – Support & Services team [EOX, 7 people] is in charge of providing Engineering Support and Services to the ATR operators, either directly or through our Support directorate, in the Maintenance and Retrofit fields.

The team is responsible for including the added value of the Support activities into the Design Office practices for Operability and Maintainability purposes. We aim at bringing the “voice of the customer” into the ATR Design Office activities, from the start of the conception of a new system to its full in-service life.

Finally, EOX also ensures the production/publication of all the ATR technical documentation.

Within the Aircraft Operability – Support & Services team, as an Operability Referent, you will be in charge of coordinating the Operability activities both on the current ATR Programs and on the recently launched ATR EVO. As such, you will be integrated both into the EVO development plateau and the EOX offices.

ACTIVITIES

Your main task will be to act as Operability and Maintainability Referent for the ATR EVO development, on the EVO plateau. You will also coordinate and develop the Operability activities for the current ATR programs. Your identification as a Referent within the ATR Design Office will put you in charge of bringing the voice of the customer in all the activities concerned (Data collection, Design, Tech Data, Change board, ...).  A strong customer orientation is mandatory for this position, as well as significant experience in the Operability and Maintainability fields.

The main activities to be undertaken in the frame of this position are:

  • analysis of the data coming from various sources within ATR to identify potential Operability topics and improvements
  • assessment, in terms of Operability, of new developments proposed by the ATR design office; proposals of tech data solutions to Operability issues
  • definition of the Operability value of new developments through thorough analysis of the proposed design and recommendations to the design office specialists and procurement teams, and through detailed maintainability analyses
  • capitalization on the Operability process and data in function of the experience gathered.

Considering your role as a Referent, your strong customer orientation must be paired with strong negotiation skills and fluency in technical English.

Based on your profile and skills and the EOX workload and organization, the scope of the position may be extended to Maintenance Support activities on the Line Maintenance documentation.

PROFILE

You hold an Engineering degree or an equivalent University training and have significant experience (15+ years) in the Aeronautical industry, and in the Operability and Maintainability fields.

Technical skills:

  • Significant experience in Operability and Maintainability
  • Knowledge and use of aircraft Line Maintenance documents (AIRNavX or ATRNavX)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aircraft Systems Design processes, V&V (validation & verification)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the way TLARD, Generic Operability and Specific Operability requirements are defined
  • Knowledge and understanding of the data that can be provided by an operator to an aircraft manufacturer, and exploited for Operability purposes
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and structure, certification notions (Part-21, CS-25, JAR-25), understanding and use of definition drawings.

Language skills:

  • Technical English fluency is mandatory

IT skills:

  • Office suite, GILDA/GIDOCA
  • AIRNavX or ATRNavX

Soft skills:

  • customer oriented, strong negotiation skills, adaptation to various cultural specificities, teamwork, pedagogy, and synthetic mind
