Project Security Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a Project Security Manager for the Earth Observation & Science National Eyes Only (EOS NEO) projects, to develop and manage the Stevenage-specific Protective Security aspects for assets, information and personnel operating, and being manufactured, as part of the wider EOS NEO Programmes.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Some travel within UK and Europe

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

You will be reporting to the Stevenage Site Security Manager and closely supporting the EOS NEO Programmes to ensure that all aspects of the Project design and manufacturing work being conducted at Airbus Stevenage are conducted in a secure and compliant manner, including delivery of the following:

  • Project Security & Stakeholder Management – You’ll be developing and maintaining a high standard of regulatory process and compliance to ensure that the project’s design and manufacturing teams are operating in accordance with legislative and regulatory frameworks such as the Government Functional Standard 007; Cabinet Office Contractual Process; and Defence Standards and Conditions as they relate to the protection of classified and Facility Security Clearance (FSC) assets.
  • Physical and Personnel Security – You’ll be responsible for meeting both programme and government requirements in surveying and designing the physical security of new FSC areas and other deployed locations; writing Project Security Instructions, designing and delivering security education and briefings to project team members, visitors and supporting business elements, to ensure that all meet the required standard to access the project’s classified assets and networks.
  • Information Assurance – You’ll be responsible for managing the organising, movement and accounting of the project’s classified assets at Stevenage and various other test facilities; developing bespoke solutions to ensure that the project’s ways of working remain compliant with contractual and government security requirements. You’ll also by pivotal in supporting the management and investigation of security incidents and breaches through your in-depth knowledge of, and relationship with, the project itself.

ABOUT YOU – Your Skills

  • Able to provide a proven track record of experience in the delivery of safe, effective and value for money security operations, in either commercial or HMG environments.
  • Possessing a good understanding of HMG & MOD Security rules and regulations
  • Demonstrating confident and articulate IT, verbal and inter-personnel skills for effective communication with customers, government authorities, project members and business leaders.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as a team, in a multinational environment.
  • Able to travel occasionally within the UK and overseas when required.
