Assistant Accountant

Job Description:

Accounts Receivable

  • Performs daily finance operational duties in AR, including preparing of sales invoices (non-trade), taking in receipts, sending statement of accounts.
  • Runs AR Ageing Report and follows up with intercompanies on long aged receivables
  • Prepares AR Receivables Intercompany file to upload in ICART
  • Prepares Overdue Reports for monthly Cash Committee meeting
  • Prepares Customer Advanced Payment Schedule

Accounts Payable

  • Performs 3-way match of supplier invoices prior to posting of invoices
  • Ensures timely and accurate posting of supplier invoices
  • Ensures payments are made on time
  • Responsible to gather and submit documents required for on-boarding or updating of vendors on SAP vendor master
  • Performs call back to vendors to confirm bank details during bank mapping process
  • Manage communication with stakeholders (e.g. purchasing team, requesters, vendors, Bank), ensuring that all queries and issues are addressed timely
  • Perform vendor & intercompany reconciliation
  • Be the focal point for finance related supplier queries
  • Responsible for ICART reporting and ICART manual adjustments

Taxation

  • Contributes to the preparation of quarterly GST filing 

  • Prepares and submits withholding tax filing

Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and Airbus finance directives

  • Supports in internal controls exercises/audit eg ICSA, FitChecks

Others

  • Supports in Company’s digital transformation (eg migration of ERP, deployment of digital tools etc)

  • Supports in retrieval of documents for audit (including internal and external audit)

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Accountancy or ACCA with experience in financial accounting

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge in Financial Reporting Standards, Taxation (GST, company income tax, Withholding tax)

  • Proficiency in SAP and Google Workplace applications will be of advantage

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Organized and meticulous with an eye for details. 

  • Self-driven and independent

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to accept and support changes
