Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Application Specialist - MDAO (d/f/m) that is ideally familiar with Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) framework.
Within the Digital Design, Manufacturing & Services Programme (DDMS) of Airbus, you will be part of the Modeling and Simulation Team in charge of defining, developing and deploying new generation capabilities to support the development of next generation products and, when appropriate, improve practices of current programmes, in a very competitive environment. This team is set up very diverse, multidisciplinary and located in Germany, France and Spain.
DDMS is a company-wide transformation programme aiming at operating a major breakthrough in the efficiency of development programmes. In this context, the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) department defines, develops and deploys the means enabling these principles. Within this project, MDAO plays a central role in achieving DDMS targets.

Your tasks and responsibilities
-
You will advise and provide support for the application of the MDAO framework to engineering challenges coming from the entire Airbus Group.

You will push forward the use of MDAO.

You will participate to the exploration, test and deployment of new features and capability enhancements of the framework.

You will participate in Airbus' internal and external MDAO and Systems Engineering ecosystems.
Desired skills and qualifications
-
You are proficient in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science (Master’s degree level or equivalent experience; alternatively, a PhD degree demonstrating concrete industrial application).

You have several years of experience in the aerospace industry or similarly complex industries.

You are proficient in numerical analysis, in particular, in optimization techniques and associated implementation and operation in Python or an other scripting language.

You are knowledgeable in ontology-based approaches, semantic Integration and graph databases and have experience in data visualization using open source or commercial tools (JMP, Dash, Bokeh, Plotly, etc.).

You bring strong communication skills and are not shy to speak up.
