Job Objectives

Facilitate and leverage technology sourcing and Intelligence by gathering and evaluating information in the field of science and technology against either a pull from defined scouting needs or providing a push from external opportunities. Countries to cover: All Asia Pacific except China and India.

Primary responsibilities

  • Management of a clustered portfolio of scouting topics

  • Ensure clear and robust definition of needs agreed with internal stakeholder 

  • Identify and Manage external scouting companies

  • Identify partners with relevant capabilities with the support of subject experts

  • Ensure network and strong relationships with key research institutions and all relevant key players in the technical domain

  • Prepare reports addressing scouting and customer needs, and prepare technology trends reports

  • Facilitate projects initiation, monitoring, and closure in coordination with internal customers and R&T Support

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support International Cooperation and Offset committee

General

  • Comply with Airbus Singapore management policies

  • Knowledge of the company , products, services, operations

  • Awareness of Airbus business and technology priorities

  • Knowledge of Airbus R&T and Innovation ecosystem

  • Ability to develop trusting and open relationships with internal stakeholders and external Partners

  • Cultural sensitivity to operate successfully in fast paced global environment

Professional skills

  • Possess relevant technical knowledge (AI, battery tech, connectivity, autonomy,...)

  • Track record of creating and nurturing new partnerships

  • Passion for new technologies and technical acumen to evaluate their relevance

  • Advanced Degree in aerospace AND innovation

  • Working experiences in scouting and/or business intelligence 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Awareness of IP and legal issues when dealing with partners
